The wine
Chambolle-Musigny is Burgundy's most lacework village, all silk and scent, and Les Fuées sits high on the Bonnes-Mares boundary, lending Felettig's premier cru extra structure. The result is Pinot Noir that marries delicacy with grip. The 2022 vintage is perfumed, refined and quietly powerful, classic Chambolle in a generous frame.
Bright ruby in the glass, lifting red rose, wild strawberry, raspberry and a dusting of sweet spice. The palate is silky and elegant, red-fruited and floral, with fine, chalky tannins that firm the structure of Les Fuées. Violet, white pepper and a stony mineral thread extend a long, graceful finish. Lace and iron, the eternal Chambolle paradox.
