Cabernet Sauvignon leads a classic blend grown on the appellation's gravel rises, and the vintage gave Margaux exactly what it does best: aromatic lift over architectural depth. This is Bordeaux at its most graceful.

Deep ruby with a violet sheen, the bouquet is famously perfumed: cassis, violet, rose petal, graphite and cedar. The palate is silken yet vast, tannins cashmere-fine, structure stretching outward without weight. Blackcurrant, pencil shaving and a whisper of crushed stone build to a finish of extraordinary persistence and poise.
