The wine
A monopole is a rare thing in Burgundy, and Chavy-Chouet farms this walled Meursault clos alone, harvesting its single parcel to its own measure. The 2023 shows the estate's pure, energetic style: a white Burgundy of clarity and cut, where stony precision leads the dialogue with Meursault's natural richness.
Pale gold with a green cast, it opens on lemon, white flower, green apple and crushed oyster shell. The palate is taut and saline, citrus and orchard fruit drawn tight over a chalky, flinty core, with only a whisper of nutty oak. Vibrant acidity drives it forward to a long, mineral, sea-spray finish.
