The wine
Few regional whites carry the pedigree of Leflaive's Bourgogne Blanc, drawn from vines bordering the great Puligny crus and farmed biodynamically by the domaine that defines them. The 2022, a warm and giving vintage, offers a genuine glimpse of that house style at an approachable scale. Class travels downhill here.
Bright straw-gold. Aromas of ripe pear, lemon curd, and acacia flower, with a subtle struck-match nuance. The attack is round but never loose, supported by fresh acidity and a gentle saline grip. Texture is creamy yet defined, fruit pure and unhurried. It signs off with almond and a quiet stony echo.
