The wine
Evesham Wood has long been a quiet conscience of the Willamette Valley, farming organically in the Eola-Amity hills and bottling Pinot Noir of restraint rather than flash. The 2021, from a balanced Oregon vintage, channels cool-climate poise into a wine of charm and genuine transparency. Understatement is the whole point here.
Translucent ruby. Red cherry, cranberry, and wild strawberry lead, with rose petal, baking spice, and a whisper of forest floor behind. The palate is bright and supple, silky tannins framing tart red fruit, acidity keeping it lithe and fresh. Oak sits gently in support. It closes on pomegranate, dried herbs, and a cool earthy note.
Why we chose it
“Oregon Pinot with nothing to prove and everything to say.”
