Valdicava farms a cool, north-facing pocket of Montalcino, and its Brunello ranks among the appellation's most coveted. From the warm, early 2017 vintage, this Sangiovese Grosso shows power reined by the estate's signature freshness and aristocratic structure.

Deep garnet, bright at the edge. The nose is rich and savoury: black cherry, plum, dried herbs, leather, espresso, and a balsamic earthiness. The palate is full and finely structured, dark fruit set on firm, ripe tannin and a lifted acidity that keeps it taut. The finish is long, mineral, and commanding, with real cellar reserve.
