The wine
Better known on the Meursault side, Boyer-Martenot crosses the border into Puligny with Les Reuchaux, a village parcel that trades opulence for cut. The 2023 reads cool and precise, Chardonnay drawn in fine lines. A quietly serious wine from a family that lets the place do the talking.
Light straw with silver glints. Green apple, white peach, and lime leaf greet the nose, followed by almond skin and a faint chalky smoke. The palate is lean and bright, fruit taut over a saline, stony base, acidity carrying the length. Subtle oak frames without intruding. It finishes clean and lingering on citrus and flint.
Why we chose it
“A Meursault hand drawing Puligny lines, cool and quietly exact.”
