Domaine Gilbert et Christine Felettig is a family estate based in the village of Chambolle-Musigny, in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits. Henri Felettig, who had worked in vineyard management for other estates, founded the domaine in 1969 on a small inherited parcel of vines, then added to it through purchase and lease over the following decades. His children, Gilbert and Christine, joined the domaine in 1993 and have run it together since, expanding what their father built while keeping the estate's holdings in family hands.
The domaine now farms roughly 13 hectares spread across more than 100 individual parcels, a fragmentation typical of land passed down through generations in Burgundy. Its holdings center on Chambolle-Musigny, where the family works both village land and premier cru climats, and extend into neighbouring communes: Vosne-Romanée, where the domaine holds premier cru vines, and further north to Gevrey-Chambertin and Nuits-Saint-Georges. A parcel in the grand cru vineyard of Échezeaux rounds out the range, alongside regional Bourgogne and Hautes-Côtes de Nuits bottlings. Every wine in the range is made from Pinot Noir.
The vines grow on the clay-limestone soils characteristic of the Côte de Nuits, and the domaine farms its parcels organically, working without herbicides or pesticides across its Chambolle-Musigny, Vosne-Romanée and Échezeaux holdings alike.
Gilbert took over primary winemaking from his father and has invested since in sorting tables, stainless steel tanks and closer temperature control across the cellar. Grapes are destemmed and given several days of cool maceration before fermentation begins in stainless steel. The wines are then raised in barrel for twelve to fifteen months, with new oak used selectively rather than uniformly, so that each climat's own character, rather than the wood, sets the tone of the finished wine.
Christine has worked alongside her brother throughout, and together they have kept the domaine a genuinely family concern even as its holdings have grown from Henri's original parcel to the roughly one hundred plots the estate now tends across five communes of the Côte de Nuits.
