The wine
Limozin sits on the cooler northern flank of Meursault, and in the Boillot brothers' hands it yields Chardonnay of cut and clarity rather than fat. The 2023 keeps that nervous tension front and centre. A village Meursault that wears precision proudly, built around freshness more than richness.
Pale gold with green tints. Citrus zest, green apple, and white peach lead, with hazelnut, white flowers, and a faint flinty smoke beneath. The palate is bright and tightly drawn, fruit poised over a saline mineral base, acidity giving real lift and drive. Oak is restrained. The finish is long and chalky, signing off on lemon, almond, and wet stone.
Why we chose it
“Meursault in a leaner key, all cut, citrus, and cool stone.”
